Florida Parent Coordinator
A parent coordinator is an impartial third person appointed by the court or agreed upon by parties. Their role is to assist the parents in successfully creating or implementing a parenting plan by facilitating the resolution of disputes between the parents by providing education, making recommendations, and, with the prior approval of the parents and the court, making limited decisions within the scope of the court’s order of referral.
In Florida, parent coordinators must have three years of post-licensure or post certification practice, family mediation training program certified by the Florida Supreme Court and a minimum of 24 hours of parenting coordination training in parenting coordination concepts and ethics, family systems theory and application, family dynamics in separation and divorce, child and adolescent development, the parenting coordination process, parenting coordination techniques, and Florida family law and procedure, and a minimum of 4 hours of training in domestic violence and child abuse which is related to parenting coordination.
Forensic Mental Health Evaluations
In depth evaluations of an individual in a legal context. Evaluations include conducting clinical interviews; reviewing collateral records; administering tests and testifying in court. I have specialized training in court related proceedings and testifying in a court case. My evaluations are comprehensive and include detailed review
of the legal case.
A minimum of 111 hours of training and certification were completed through the National Board of Forensic Evaluators. Certification also included completion of a written examination and passing of an oral examination requiring defending of the written report.
