An immigration mental health evaluation is used to help immigration courts decide if a person should remain in the United States. I have extensive training in various forensic evaluations and completed specialized training at The Immigration Training Center with Georgia King. You can expect a comprehensive and objective assessment that meets the standards of immigration court proceedings. Evaluation interviews take average 3-4 hours virtually. The written evaluation can take 2-4 weeks to complete. Expedited reports are available for an extra fee of $145. You get complete documentation to support your court case and coordination with your immigration attorney. I cannot guarantee the outcome of court cases. Interpreters available upon request.
I provide services for Extreme Hardship Waivers, Asylum Cases, VAWA, T-VISA, and U-VISA cases.
The mental health evaluation for extreme hardship waivers explores and documents hardships that impair the qualifying relative’s ability to move to another country or be separated from their family member who is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident.
A mental health evaluation for VAWA assesses the impact of physical, verbal, sexual, financial, or emotional abuse toward the individual. This evaluation helps establish the occurrence of domestic abuse in order to file for legal status separately from the U.S. citizen spouse.
Asylum seekers often endure traumatic experiences in their home countries, including persecution, violence, and torture. Psychological evaluations provide critical evidence to support their case for protection in a foreign country.
If you have been the victim of a trafficking experience, you may qualify for a T-VISA. The T-VISA mental health evaluation is a comprehensive assessment of the individual's mental health status, including any symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions that may have resulted from the trafficking experience.
If you have been the victim of a crime and are cooperating with law enforcement officials in the prosecution of the perpetrators, you may be eligible for a U-Visa. U-Visa mental health evaluations are used to document the type and extent of the psychological damage and distress you suffered as a result of your victimization.
